After more than two years in engineering and development, a premier engine manufacturer set out to begin working on a crating solution to safely transport its new and much anticipated high-value engine model.

Heavily focussed on quality assurance, a team of in-house product engineers, as well as an experienced in-house packaging engineer discovered the ECORR^®Crate and were impressed by it’s strength and ease of use.

But, there were challenges: Product Securement, Weight & Load Distribution, International Shipping Requirements and Ease-of-Disassembly at End Destination.

The Solution: ECORR^®Pack Hybrid Crating. By incorporating the ECORR^®Crate core-design principals with the strength of wood, the ECORR^®Pack was able to address load securement and weight distribution issues while the remaining non-wood ECORR^®Board “box and design” portion of the pack made for a lighter, ISPM 15 Compliant international shipping crate providing exceptional product containment and stacking strength.

Even better, the patented design presented the product in an easily accessible format upon arrival as lifts and chains were used to pull the engine directly out of the ECORR^®Pack.

And more good news....80% of the ECORR^®Pack was able to be knock-down at and recycled in a standard cardboard bailer after use!
